Improving your SEO

Your Goal for SEO is to hit Gold! You want to be in Google’s Golden Triangle. You want to rank in the top three websites for your primary keyword, because that’s where 63% of people look.

But how to you get to the peak?

We know that your ranking on Google depends on how popular and how relevant (to the search terms) your site is.

How exactly do you become popular?
Easy… hang out with the cool kids!

Influencers are cool! They have a huge following who look up to them for inspiration and aspire to be like them. And with their stamp of approval you become popular too.

Any content related to your brand which is, created, shared, replied to, or commented on by an influencer will immediately gain more reach, becoming visible to potentially thousands of new followers and readers. When influencers interact  with your brand, it means that a much larger audience is speedily exposed to it, diverting them to your site and leading to a significant spike in traffic.

How do you become relevant?

Easy… Be talked about more often by important people!

Whenever your content is shared, referred to or linked to a piece of content on a third party site, it creates a backlink and is identified by Google as being relevant. The more backlinks your site has, the more it is trusted by Google and considered to be relevant when specific keywords are searched, improving your ranking on search engines.

The better the site you’ve been linked to the better the quality back-link, the higher the ranking

Influencers have great authoritative sites, with plenty of traffic, and when they create content and refer to your brand on their site, they not only create great quality backlinks for your site, they increase the chances of your site being linked on a larger number of other sites! And because  influencers follow and support other influencers, within their field, your content is likely to be exposed to and be picked up by other high profile accounts within their community, increasing the chances of earning more quality links.

Keep doing what you’re doing on other platforms

Social media and SEO work together.

Key influencers on social media can increase reach on those particular networks but they can also have a very positive effect on your SEO. The more shares, re-tweets and re-posts you receive on social media platforms such as Facebook, Linkedin and Twitter, the higher your ranking will be on google.

Due to their large reach  Influencers posses an authority and a greater influence on social media platforms. When they refer and share your content on their social media platforms, the links that are created are of high quality, and the chances of it being shared more on social media are increased, increasing the number of links being created to your site.

Social media profiles are typically amongst the top results in search listings for brand names, meaning that social shares on social media sites can and should boost SEO dramatically.
