5 Secrets For Influencers To Stay Motivated
Whether you’re a blogger, a YouTuber, or an instagram babe it’s only natural to feel a little unmotivated at times. We’re over consuming content every single day and it can be easy to fall into the trap of comparison and feeling unimaginative. Here are our top 5 secrets for how to stay motivated and on your A game.
Think back to why you first started
The likelihood is that you first started creating content because it was your passion, it was a hobby that you loved. Strip away the pressure and look back to times before it was a career, before followers really counted and remember why you first started. Remind yourself of something that you have achieved such as a collaboration that you landed or your favourite picture you’ve shot. If you can reach your goal once, then you can reach one again if you put in the sheer effort.
Step outside of your comfort zone
Immerse yourself in a fresh environment and explore new avenues. This doesn’t mean that you have to travel across the globe and explore a different culture (although I wouldn’t say no), but even something as little as going to an exhibition or a motivational talk. Find someone you look up to, who is your hero? Read their literature, watch their videos and get inspired again. Even scrolling Pinterest or Unsplash for image inspo is going to help get you back into creative mode.
Explore new tools
In such a fast paced industry technology is always evolving, new apps are being created so there is always something new that you can try out to zhuzh up your content. Space
Being and influencer and working in social media means that you rarely ever get to switch off. Scrolling instagram late at night in bed is the norm for most of us but it means that you’re never really getting a break from work. It’s super important to instil a space where you can just relax, even if it’s 10 minutes a day to just be with your thoughts it makes a huge difference. Apps like Headspace are great tools for helping you to switch off and get the break you deserve.
Conversation
Conversation is key when it comes to having successful relationships with your audience. If you feel like your disconnected from your followers then what better way to reconnect than to ask them what they’d like to see? This way you’re showing them that their opinion matters to them and it’s also highly likely that they might give you some ideas that will spark your motivation levels again. It’s a win win!
